The ROP Executive



Sébastien Bezeau - Chairperson

Sebastien is originally from Miscou Island and moved to Moncton in 2001 to pursue his education at Université de Moncton. After graduating in political science, he worked in different capacities with different labour organizations such as the New Brunswick Federation of Labour, the Canadian Labour Congress and the Public Service Alliance of Canada. An activist for social justice, he enjoys volunteering for other causes and also serves on an Advisory Committee for the City of Dieppe. Seb enjoys spending time with friends, travel, and going to the gym. He will also secretly admit to loving the Golden Girls and the WWE.



Stephane Mazerolle – Secretary

 Animal Lover Stephane is originally from the small town of Saint-Louis-de-Kent. After graduating from high school, he moved to Moncton to attend College where he graduated in the field of Veterinary Technician. He finds happiness in helping others and seeing them smile. He is very much a homebody but enjoys looking at the world and all its beauty. His hobbies are videogames, going out with friends and watching movies.



Matt Caissie – 1st VP

Matt Caissie – 1st VPMatt has lived in Moncton for past 20 years. He's an X-Man having graduated from St. Francis Xavier University, where he was a student politician. He completed his Master's degree at Saint Mary's in Halifax and is also a designated accountant. Matt is passionate about business, leadership and the community. He's volunteered with Junior Achievement for a number of years and was a co-founder of 21inc, the organization that operates the 21 Leaders for the 21st Century program. In his spare time he can be found on the cross country ski trails, running, enjoying a beverage with good friends or pretending to be a gardener in his backyard. He's excited about contributing to the Pride Committee – a subject he's very passionate about.



Chantal Thanh L - Education

Chantal Thanh L - EducationChantal is from Montreal and has been living in Moncton since 2007. She studied "Techniques de travail social" at La Cité collégiale in Ottawa and then graduated from a Social work degree at Université de Moncton. Chantal is very passionate about advocating for LGBTQ and Women's rights. She has done a lot volunteer work through the Un sur Dix Association, the Safe Spaces program and feminist organizations. In her free time, Chantal enjoys dancing.



Caitlin Furlong - Treasurer

Caitlin Furlong - TreasurerCaitlin is originally from Bathurst, but moved to Moncton to pursue her education. She is currently a 4th year student at the Université de Moncton. She is doing a bachelor's degree in high school education with a major in math and a minor in English and is planning to do her master's in education in the future. Caitlin has always been a strong ally of the LGBT community and thought that being in involved with the River of Pride would be a great way to help out and show her support. Caitlin is a former national boxing champion and boxing coach; and she is a Zumba instructor at the Ceps (on campus). She enjoys playing guitar, reading, going out for sushi and most of all, spending time with friends.
 
 

Ryan Leger

Ryan was born in Moncton and grew up well traveled.  As a part of a military family, he considers himself a resident of many cities across New Brunswick to Alberta.  He graduated in the field of Graphic Digital Media Design from The Centre for Arts and Technology in Halifax and also obtained a diploma in Medical Office Administration from Oulton’s Business College in Moncton NB.  Ryan is an artistic driven individual from an array of diverse mediums including visual and digital arts
